Car choices

After looking over many vehicles and going on too many test drives, the current contenders are:

  • A 2011 Ford Mustang
  • A 2011 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible, with a V4
  • A 2011 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible, with a V6

Other vehicles were either acceptable but didn’t make the cut (Nissan Altima 3.5SR), way outside my price range (Mazda 6), looked like everything else on the road (Ford Fusion, most Hondas and Toyotas), or just rubbed me the wrong way (Hyundai Sonata).

The V6 convertible is just a little outside my price range, but I can likely swing it.

Any closing thoughts, y’all?

Well, I have to say, Ford did do a very good job on the new Mustang. I'm given to understand it's the first one ever to go around corners decently in base-level trim, out-of-the-box.
